The Executive Branch
The Executive Branch plays a big role in our government because this is the branch that consists of the President and vice president. The president has a lot of power over congress such as vetoing a bill, if congress passes a law and the president does not like that specific law he can do what is called a Veto. A Veto is when the president basically rejects a bill, the bill can be sent back to congress to get a 2/3 vote to override the veto but is highly unlikely. The president also has many other powers and roles within this branch, find out by clicking on the "President and Vice President" tab.
